Engineering the Edge: TUNN3L Sponsors AIR Championships #1 at CLYMB Abu Dhabi
Sept 5–7, 2025 — Abu Dhabi. The first stop on Aerial Indoor Racing’s 2025–26 journey is live inside the world’s biggest wind tunnel: CLYMB™ Yas Island. TUNN3L is on board as sponsor, backing a format that prizes precision, consistency, and race‑grade operations. The three‑day tournament features Pursuit (Fri), Relay (Sat), and Race (Sun)—and it matters: the top 15 Race flyers earn their place on the grid for the 2026 AIR World Championships.
What’s happening—and why it matters
- Event: AIR Championships #1
- Where: CLYMB™ Yas Island, Abu Dhabi (home of the world’s biggest indoor skydiving flight chamber)
- When: Sept 5–7, 2025 (competition days)
- Watch: Official Livestreams + live Scores pages all weekend
- Stakes: Top 15 in Sunday’s Race qualify for the 2026 AIR World Championships.
TUNN3L supports events that push the operational envelope and raise standards for athlete safety, repeatability, and spectator clarity. That’s the future of this sport.
How AIR Championships #1 works (30‑second tour)
Pursuit (Fri) — Head‑to‑head time duels in mirrored lanes; land in your finishing square and hold the stand to win.
Relay (Sat) — Two‑flyer team battles; early takeoff = DQ if the incoming flyer hasn’t held the stand.
Race (Sun) — Pack racing in groups of five (some six), 6–7 laps, with a Race Referee who can issue white gloves (restart at the back) and black gloves (DQ) to keep racing safe and fair.
Qualification path to Worlds: Sunday’s tournament structure funnels the field through rounds (1st Cut, Mix Up, 5‑of‑6, Scramble, Wipe Out, Double Semis) until a five‑flyer Final crowns the event champion. Make the Double Semis, and you’re qualified for 2026 Worlds.
Why TUNN3L is here: reliability wins races
High‑speed sport deserves high‑reliability operations. Since 2015, TUNN3L has helped wind tunnel facilities run cleaner schedules, tighter workflows, and better guest and athlete experiences—not just software, but consulting, plus on‑site hardware and integrations. Today, 17M+ end users interact with systems powered by TUNN3L across the global indoor skydiving ecosystem.
Security and quality aren’t optional at this scale. TUNN3L operates under ISO 27001 for information security and aligns to ISO 9001 principles for quality management—because trust is part of performance.
Our view: fast is nothing without repeatable process. We back AIR because it rewards clean lines, disciplined race control, and transparent scoring—exactly the culture modern tunnels and athletes need.
